In the heart of Montmartre, Paris A Dream finds Anne. After a career in journalism, Anne decided to take the plunge and follow her passion for cuisine by studying at the Centre de Formation Alain Ducasse. Anne loves to cook, and she has written several books on how to get the best results in the kitchen: Le Livre des Frites (The French Fry Book); La Petite Touche Qui Change Tout (It’s the Small Things that Make a Difference); and Cocorico (Cock-a-Doodle-Do). She hosts us in her home in Montmartre, either in her dining room or on her rooftop terrace, sharing her own little paradise with a view of the cathedral Sacre Coeur.

Colleen (USA)
Anne and Isabelle are so kind and friendly. It was easy and comfortable to be welcomed into Anne's home and learn about her passion for cooking and her secrets for fabulous French food
Krystal (USA)

It was such a pleasure learning how to cook with Anne and meeting new friends. Isabelle did a fantastic job helping us meet a local french person and take in gorgeous views of Paris

Efrain (Georgia-USA)

This is the kind of experience that people wish for when visiting Paris - French patisserie made by a true chef (thanks Anne!), enjoyed with wonderful beverage and a view that is truly breathtaking from a locals' rooftop near Sacre Coeur. Another true Parisien experience courtesy of Isabelle and Paris a Dream!

Rosemary (Great-Bretain)

We all met at the Panifica bakery just below Sacré Coeur, a well known and excellent bakery who create all their breads and cakes from sourdough. Anne explained all about the bakery and then bought cakes and baguette for us to try later. We walked to her home on rue de Clignancourt wher we had the pleasure of being the first group to take this experience on her amazing roof terrace with a gorgeous view of Sacré Coeur (when not sunny the experience takes place in Anne's kitchen / living room space).
We tried the baguette and cakes with coffee, specialist tea or home made hot chocolate (gorgeous) enjoying the view before Anne took us all into her kitchen where she whizzed up in no time pain perdu (french toast) and madeleines, all the time giving us tips about how to make them. Back upstairs to taste more and to have a glass of champagne into which she dropped fresh raspberries.
A very leisurely afternoon.

On a bright Wednesday afternoon, I found myself atop an incredible rooftop. After climbing narrow stairs, I turned to see a view of Le Sacre Coeur unlike any other.
Our chef, Anne was so charming; she made me feel at ease in her home right away. I enjoyed a nice demonstration of how to make Pain Perdu and Financiers. She allowed us to ask questions in a pleasant environment, and Anne was keen to listen to our questions and give advice about how to make our recipes unforgettable.
If you are looking for an unconventional way to enjoy Paris, with good eats and nice company, I highly recommend a visit to Anne through Paris A Dream.

Emanuelle began pursuing her culinary passion after working in marketing for several years. She studied at l’Ecole Ferrandi de Paris and then went on to hone her skills by working for chefs of several Parisian restaurants. Emmanuelle will host you in her home, in the center of the 15th arrondissement, or serve as a personal chef in your own home. Available only to small groups with a maximum of 4 people.

Angelo (Chicago)

We signed up for a home cooking class because we wanted to take back what we learned. Emmanuelle was a great host because she answers your questions and gives you great advice. We had prepared and cooked stuffed tomatoes Provençal , rice pilaf and strawberry Sorbet. My 14 year old son was kept busy helping to prepare the meal which at the end was delicious. We also got to meet and talk to her teenage son which was cool. I was under the weather that day and she offered to to go to the pharmacy which was very kind of her . The home was very close to a train stop. Overall an excellent experience.

Shelly (Michigan - USA)

I enjoyed Home cooking with Dominique so much that I returned multiple times. The classes are in her beautiful home in a lovely part of Paris. Her classes are interactive and fun! The French dishes we prepared were achievable for even a novice. Eating our successful meal together with wine was always a memorable way to end the class.

Pam ( Texas - USA)

I was lucky to learn about Isa and her business during the SIAL food show. My family was joining me for a week of vacation and a culinary class sounded like an excellent way to spend a day. Isa sent me several options and we ended up choosing to spend time in a French household learning to make Beef Bourguignon and Creme Brûlée.
Dominique, our hostess turned out to be a lovely lady, charming hostess and excellent teacher living in a beautiful Paris apartment. We spent the morning learning to make the classic French stew and dessert, then enjoyed it during a leisurely lunch with delicious wine at a beautifully set table.
It was truly an unforgettable day! Isa joined us for coffee at the end of the meal and we left feeling that we had made new friends.
I highly recommend Paris A Dream and look forward to our next adventure when we visit Paris again!

Ashleigh (Great-Bretagne)

We had a fantastic time learning how to cook Creme Brûlée and Beef Bourguignon in Paris. Our cook and teacher was Dominique welcomed us to her home in the center of Paris. She was very friendly and full of cooking tips! Thanks so much.

Diana (USA)

Anne was a fantastic 'experience' host. Her generosity with time and genuine focus on ensuring we enjoyed the experience was great

Kioko (Canada)

We went with Paris A Dream to learn and experience the French style home cooking with chef Emmanuelle. It was wonderful - We liked the recipe very much & ended up shopping for the same spices while we were still in Paris so we can recreate the same dish at home! Highly recommended!

Naomi (California-USA)

We had a great time cooking with Chef Dominique! Made a delicious meal of vegetable terrine, monkfish in tomato sauce, and tart tatin (menu customized for our group) while learning a ton about both cooking technique and French food. Dominique was a really lovely host and it was great to do a personal class for our group of four, all completely hands-on. Highly recommended !

We had a fabulous time exploring a picturesque Paris neighborhood with the Paris a Dream team. Delicious food, knowledgeable guide. The shops and food were fabulous, and we learned a lot about an area of Paris that we might have missed otherwise.

Carleen (Georgia-USA)

Isa and her team made us feel like lifelong Parisians, introducing us to local experts and vendors who welcomed us into their shops as though we were old friends. We truly tasted the best that Paris has to offer, and learned so much along the way. It was a wonderful day, made all the better by Isabelle's delightful company! Highly recommended for all ages. Such a fun morning!

Kristi (Washington-USA)

Isa and her team went out of their way to create a memorable experience for our group of four adults and two 12-year olds. It can be difficult to motivate jet-lagged youngsters to visit another museum or historical site!
We had a very friendly and knowledgeable bilingual guide who offered information on the history and significant buildings in the neighborhood as we walked to a beautiful bakery and an ice-cream shop with new and fascinating flavors. In both places we tasted delicious sweets, talked with the owners who were passionate about what they did, and even got to go into the kitchens to see how they create their desserts.
I think this was perhaps one of the most memorable experiences for the kids (and maybe the adults) -- to engage personally with French people and culture in a comfortable way!

Jim and Susan (California.USA)

My wife and I very much enjoyed our Paris A Dream food tour of the 11th arrondissement. All of the stops (a boulangerie, fromagerie, fine epicerie, and wine shop) were perfect – the food was great and it was so interesting to learn about each owner’s background and commitment to their chosen field. And we really loved the "picnic” approach to the tour – collecting food along the way for a small feast at the end. Our guide Camille did a great job – she was very personable and we enjoyed her comments about the neighborhood, the history, etc. All in all, it was a wonderful way to spend the day.

Efrain (Georgia,USA)

We've now lived in Paris for over a year, but had never truly discovered the Saint Germain des Pres neighborhood and all its wonderful local artisans until our tour with Isabelle and Paris a Dream. In all honesty, it was probably my favorite experience of exploring new neighborhoods in Paris so far, learning about different food artisans - can't wait until the next tour!

Jennifer (New York)

Having lived in Paris for many years, I was thrilled to discover I new neighborhood that I knew nothing about as well as some tastes and foods that were new to me too. This tour is a delightful mix of tasting, culture, Parisian charm, and tourism. I highly recommend this experience for anybody who wants to learn about food and Paris, even if they think they know it all. Our guide was wonderful, telling us all about what we were trying and where we were visiting. Although I knew we would be tasting some things, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that our 'tasting' was just about a multi-course lunch with 3 kinds of wine. Whether you know Paris a lot or a little, this is a fun experience for all. Note: if you have never been to Paris and are pressed for time, you might prefer one of their other tasting tours in a more famous district. If you have been to some of the popular neighborhoods or want to discover a new one, this tour is for you!

Janet (Chicago)
We had the most amazing experience with the Paris a Dream food tour. If we hadn't signed up for this tour, we would have never visited the Belleville neighborhood, which was a foodie haven. Our guide was a trained chef and so knowledgeable about the food and the artisans we visited. And we got a special behind-the-scenes look at how baguettes are made (which was my favorite part). It all concluded with a tasting of the beautiful cheeses, pate, ham, baguettes, specialty food items and wine our guide picked up on our walking tour. The tasting ended with the most incredible fig tart that I'm still dreaming about! It was also fun to learn about the history of this unique Paris neighborhood. If you want to avoid tourist traps, learn how Parisians live and eat, and be immersed in the local food culture, this tour is for you!
Liz (Boston)
I'd rush back to Paris tomorrow if I could go on another food tour with Paris a Dream Circuits. The tour I experienced last week was in the Belleville neighborhood, which was off the beaten trail and had a cool, hipster vibe. The food shops in this area of Paris (the 19th and 20th districts) featured beautiful pastries, the best baguette ever, lovely local cheeses, olive oil from Provence, and so much more. Our guide was a trained chef, so she knew a lot about French cuisine as well as the rich history of Paris. I learned, laughed, and indulged. The tour ended in a lovely wine shop where we shared tastes from each shop ... paired with wine, of course. I highly recommend Paris a Dream, and I'll certainly be connecting with them again the next time I visit Paris.

Delicious dinner with a breath-taking Paris rooftop view.
A private chef, a lovely rooftop balcony, a leisurely and delicious meal, and sunset views of Sacre Coeur -- I can't imagine a better way to celebrate a reunion of dear friends! Because of the truly one-of-a-kind venue, we were able to talk and laugh to our hearts' content -- without ever worrying that we would disturb other diners, as would have been the case in a restaurant. Our chef and hostess -- a widely-published cookbook author -- was delightful. Our meal was delicious. And words can't say enough to describe the awe-inspiring view of Sacre Coeur and the rooftops of Paris. Paris-a-Dream made this evening special in every way. Highly recommended
